Chicken in Spicy Sauce


  • 3 chicken thighs, cut small size pieces
  • 2 tsp chicken powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 10 fresh chili, crush
  • 2 tsp shrimp paste
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp tamarind juice
  • 1 bunch coriander, roughly chopped (leave 2 sprigs for garnish)


  1. Marinate chicken with salt and turmeric and set aside
  2. Combine all other ingredients into a pot with ½ cup of water and bring to the boil and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, until chili cook.
  3. Add chicken pieces and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  4. When chicken is ready add coriander and taste. Add on according to your own taste. (if need salt or tamarind juice)
