Grilled beef with Mashed Potatoes


  • 1 beef steak (500 g)
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ cup Apple Juice
  • 2 tabelspoons light soysauce
  • ½ teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 1 teasppon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch (stir with 4 teaspoons of water)
  • ¼ teaspoon rosemary

Grill Beef Recipes:

  1. Firstly rub salt and pepper in the both side of beef steak and set aside.
  2.  Combine the sugar, apple juice, soysauce, ginger, salt, black pepper, oil and water in a bowl.
  3.  Boil sauce in the pot until sugar is dissolve. 
  4. Pour sauce ove the beef steak, turning the meat around to coat thoroughly.
  5. Preheat Grill pan to grill.
  6. Lightly oil the grilling surface, and place beef steak on the grill.
  7. Grill steak for 15 minutes on each side. While grilling steak.
  8. Serve grill beef steak with mushed potatoes and broccoli.

Mashed Potatoes Ingredients:

  • 5 large potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Mashed Potatoes Cooking Method:

  1. Put potatoes into a pot. Add ½ teaspoon of salt and water until potatoes are coved.
  2. Bring to boil and covered for 15-20 minutes or until done – use a fork to poke through the surface to check.
  3. Use Masher to mash pototoes until well mashed.
  4.  Heat oil in the wok and fry garil until fragrant.
  5. Add milk and stir well for 1 minute.
  6. Add mashed potatoes and stir well.
  7. And add salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve well with Thousand Island dressing.

Broccoli Ingredients:

  • 1 diced Broccoli
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Broccoli Method:

  1. Boil water in a pot.
  2. Add broccoli and boil for 2 minutes.
  3. Add broccoli to cold water and drain.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
