Chilli, Garlic and Lemon Crab Pasta

4-person serving

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 chopped chili
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp chopped basil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 10 mini tomatoes, half
  • Dash freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 250g packet angel hair pasta
  • 3 tbsp parmesan, shredded
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Dash sea salt
  • 100g crab meat

  1. Heat oil in a small frying pan. Saute chilli and garlic for 2 minutes
  2. Stir in basil, juice, tomatoes, crab meat and pepper. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat. Simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  3. Cook pasta in large saucepan of boiling water for 5 or 6 minutes. Drain well. Return to same pan with chili mixture. Toss well over a low heat. Serve immediately sprinkled parmesan and lemon zest. Serve with crusty bread and salad. If liked, a few toasted pine nuts can be add but remember they will dramatically increase the fat content of the dish.
